The series entitled "Hors cadre encadrés" highlights LindaRo's current technique, namely charcoal and encaustic drawing (use of waxes and pigments). Through these works, the artist wishes to pay tribute to significant figures in history who have distinguished themselves through their extraordinary actions. Emblematic figures from the fields of science, literature, art, politics, and others are chosen as sources of inspiration for my creations. The encaustic technique that the artist uses offers impressive finishes and textures that are little known to the general public. By highlighting famous faces, the objective is to arouse the interest and emotion of the spectators, while helping them discover and appreciate this artistic technique.

Gandhi (1869-1948)

Based on a charcoal portrait of Gandhi, this painting is enhanced with an encaustic painting technique that adds richness and texture to the composition. The face, imbued with wisdom and serenity, emerges from a vibrant background of purples, yellows, and whites, evoking both the spirituality and energy of the figure. Framed by a gilded frame motif integrated into the work, the trompe-l'oeil effect accentuates the idea of a timeless tribute.
