WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF
ARTIST'S CREATION

 LindaRo

LindaRo is an artist with multidisciplinary training
which shaped his artistic career.
After obtaining a bachelor's degree in architecture from Laval University in Quebec City in 1987 and an Attestation d'Études Collégiales (AEC) in graphic design in 1999, she enriched her artistic knowledge by taking university courses in Art History and completing a Certificate in Visual Arts at Laval University in 2021.
Since then, his artistic practice has occupied a central place in his life.

After living for several years in Quebec, she is now well established in Saint-Anselme, in the Chaudière-Appalaches region.

Her unique artistic style is a subtle blend of figurative and abstract, where realism blends harmoniously with poetry. Through her drawings of human figures, she draws inspiration from artists of the classical era. She also draws inspiration from modern artists for composition and use of color. This fusion of influences creates works that captivate and intrigue with their depth and originality.

In her creations, she seeks to communicate a deep and vibrant emotional story. Inspired by the living beings, textures, materials, and colors that surround her, she captures moments of life and emotions. She explores various techniques, and for the past few years, it is mainly with encaustic (painting with waxes and pigments) applied to charcoal drawings that she finds satisfaction in the development of her artistic language. The latter flourishes with enthusiasm and energy, and she devotes herself fully to its development, which is in full swing.
His art is an exploration of the beauty and complexity of the world around him, inviting viewers to think and feel beyond superficial appearances.

LindaRo has already participated in several exhibitions during her young and active artistic career. These exhibitions have allowed her to share her creative world with an ever-growing and interested audience.

Her passionate commitment to artistic expression, her search for meaning in her creations, her commitment to her work as well as her unique approach reinforce her reputation as an emerging and promising artist.

His greatest desire is to share this passion and his creations with a wide audience during exhibitions and other artistic events.

Ultimately, she is an artist in constant evolution, exploring new horizons and pushing the boundaries of her art.

Warning:
His commitment to art is unwavering and could be contagious!

The technique

ENCAUSTIC

Encaustic painting is a very old technique which consists of using
Beeswax as a binder for pigments. A mixture consisting primarily of beeswax is heated and mixed with the colors, and is then applied by brush, knife, or directly melted onto a rigid support. Once deposited, it can be reworked while hot to shape textures, superimpose layers, or embed various materials.

For his recent paintings, the artist first creates a charcoal portrait drawing
which is mounted on a wooden panel and then worked with encaustic to obtain the desired artistic result.

The encaustic technique offers great depth, a particular luminosity and exceptional durability, since the wax naturally protects the colors over time.
