WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF
ARTIST'S CREATION

 LindaRo

LindaRo is an emerging visual artist whose
multidisciplinary background, ranging from architecture
to computer graphics, informs her practice.

In 2021, she completed a certificate in visual arts at Université Laval
in Quebec City, marking a turning point where creation
became central to her life.

After several years in Quebec City, she now lives and works
in the Chaudière-Appalaches region.

Having explored various techniques, she now favors encaustic
—a mixture of wax and pigments—applied over charcoal drawings.
This medium allows her to express a unique artistic language
guided by living beings, light, colors, and textures,
combining realism and creativity.

Active on the Quebec art scene, LindaRo is represented by
Galerie Ö Berkail in Drummondville.
She participates in various exhibitions, workshops, and other events
such as symposiums and art fairs. In addition, she is currently
creating a public artwork along the Bellechasse Cycling Route in Sainte-Claire.

She is pursuing a burgeoning practice, driven by a desire to share her passion for the arts and creation in all its forms.

The technique

ENCAUSTIC

Encaustic painting is a very old technique which consists of using
Beeswax as a binder for pigments. A mixture consisting primarily of
beeswax is heated and mixed with the colors, and is then applied
by brush, knife, or directly melted onto a rigid support.
Once deposited, it can be reworked while hot to shape textures,
superimpose layers, or embed various materials.

For his recent paintings, the artist first creates a charcoal portrait drawing
which is mounted on a wooden panel and then worked with encaustic to obtain the desired artistic result.

The encaustic technique offers great depth, a particular luminosity and exceptional durability, since the wax naturally protects the colors over time.
