The series entitled "Hors Cadre Encadrés" highlights LindaRo's current technique, namely charcoal and encaustic drawing (use of waxes and pigments). Through these works, the artist wishes to pay tribute to significant figures in history who have distinguished themselves through their extraordinary actions. Emblematic figures from the fields of science, literature, art, politics, and others are chosen as sources of inspiration for my creations. The encaustic technique that the artist uses offers impressive finishes and textures that are little known to the general public. By highlighting famous faces, the objective is to arouse the interest and emotion of viewers, while helping them discover and appreciate this artistic technique.
Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900)
In this painting, the figure of the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche emerges from a whirlwind of molten colors – red, yellow and copper – evoking the power of his thought and the intensity of his outlook on the world.
Collages with metallic pigments integrated into the wax frame the face with an almost sacred symbolism. These textured elements create a boundary between the subject's interiority and the colorful chaos of the background, like a metaphor for the relationship between the individual and the tumult of existence.
This work offers a contemporary reading of the German thinker, capturing the visionary energy of his writings and his central role in challenging dogmas.
